cPanel File Manager E-mail

One of the most common tasks requested by Clients who manage a community website (and even their own personal website on Joomla!) is how to upload files to their website. This is necessary when you wish to say, create a Photo Gallery on your website.

1.  Login to your Personal cPanel using www.domainname.TLD/cpanel. From the dropdown enter your Username and Password which was sent to you separately - THIS USER NAME AND PASSWORD SHOULD NOT BE GIVEN TO ANYONE...

2.  Your cPanel will open and looks like this cPANEL On the 3rd Row, you will see FILE MANAGER - Click the icon.

3.  From the entry pop up Click the options indicated here File Manager Directory Selection

4.  This will take you to the Root Menu. Select public_html as indicated Root Menu public_html

5.  Go to the images section Images

6.  Create a new folder (this is optional) Create New Folder

7.  Click Upload Upload and through Browse locate the images you wish to upload Locate Images - Browse and select Open

8.  After the images have been uploaded, they will appear like this Image Uploaded so that when you return to the Root Menu, you will see them in the folder you have created or placed them Images in Folder.

You can repeat this operation as often as you wish until all your images have been uploaded.

Be aware that the images you upload may need to be edited (in size and resolution for the Internet). This will need to be carried out BEFORE you upload them. For a tutorial of this go here...
